but I don't use it since I'm always attempting Dolby AC3. Let the capture program use its default audio format. What you describe is probably due to a problem with the audio capture. Apparently, they (or VideoReDo?) can not do anything in this regard without risking a challenge from Dolby. If the Hauppauge program supplied a "dummy/null" filler to the audio stream at any dropout point, this issue should be resolved. If a recording is made straight through to the next episode in a series, about 45 seconds of video is edited out by Quick Stream Fix before the audio stream is again aligned with the video. If stereo is selected as the program audio, this effect does not happen. This is because the audio drops out at this point. When Quick Stream Fix is run on such a capture, it cuts the program precisely at the end, automatically. I can obtain Dolby 5.1 only if I start recording AFTER program stream has started. My capture settings are Variable Bitrate at 9.0. These problems would be a lot less if the hardware/software providers were not held hostage by Dolby licensing. The Hauppauge capture program works very well with video, but the audio capture has issues. I'll have to check the version of Hauppauge capture that I'm using.
Hauppauge hd pvr 2 software mac upgrade#
I'm hoping the next major upgrade to VideoReDo will be an "AudioReDo" component. Any hangup generally appears to be audio related. VideoReDo does a great job fixing the captures. This is the only workaround I have to use these streaming services since my option for broadband is limited to satellite-based Internet, which severely limits data usage except during the early morning "free zone". The captures are from Netflix or Amazon Prime. I also have used the 1st generation HD PVR. I use VideoReDo V4 daily to cleanup captures made with the PVR2. Scan type, store method : Separated fields I see where the overall bit rate mode is Variable, but I have the video set to 10 Mbps and constant on Hauppauge Capture.Ĭomplete name : C:\Users\Public\Videos\HDPVR2_20151207_1008.ts Click to expand. On this file, I was able to run Ad-Detective just fine but when I saved the file 14,148 of 39,251 files were dropped.
